William & Naomi Markham

February 7, 2017

William (Billy) Quince Markham born August 8, 1931 and his bride, Naomi Markham, born August 23, 1936, departed this Earth in the early morning hours of Tuesday, February 7, 2017, together at home, surrounded by their loved ones. Their love affair spanned over 6 decades. Love is the legacy that they left behind. They were lifelong, dedicated Jehovah's Witnesses, model examples of living in faith and with integrity and devotion. Billy and Naomi were true adventurers, crossing back and forth across the United States countless times - from the bayous of Louisiana, to the beaches of the Gulf of Mexico and California, through the mountains and canyons of Colorado, and all across the West. The were fond of taking the road less traveled. Dirt roads were their favorite kind. Naomi loved the Aspens of Colorado. Billy loved to fish. The two of them loved to cook and eat seafood. Every gumbo that they prepared together was better than the last. They enjoyed good food (especially seafood), good music (especially Willy Nelson) and the myriad of family and friends that surrounded them throughout their lives. They are survived by their devoted children Lora Markham-Brown and William Dale Markham and their son and daughter-in-law, Todd Brown and Jill Markham. They're also survived by their loving grandchildren, Nikki Christensen, Erik Reynolds, Candy Reynolds, Lacy Markham, Josh Pippen, Jeremiah Brown and Abigail Hamilton. They also leave behind three great grandsons, Roman Christensen, Sully Christensen, Silas Reynolds and nine shared children of Josh Pippen and Tia Armstrong. Billy is survived by his big sister, Doris Price and Naomi by her little sister, Deborah Taylor. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the following; Dierksen Hospice wth special thanks to the caregivers, Melissa, Meesha and Chaplain Billy. Also to the team of caregivers at Right at Home, with special thanks to Taryn Bellucio for her wonderful care. In addition, the family would like to thank Jacob Cavaioli for the care that he gave our loved ones, especially in the last hours of their lives. We are eternally grateful.
