Walter Henry Erwin

Walter (Banjo) Henry Erwin, 69, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, passed away on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at Baptist Health Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas. Born in Palestine, Texas on December 21, 1946 to James and Mary Jane Erwin. Walter retired from the construction industry, but continued small projects around town. He enjoyed fishing, boating, and being a solo pilot. His competitive spirit shined during family games of Moon, Wahoo, and Texas Hold ‘Em. Walter was proud of his children Kenneth Erwin and wife Shay of Magnolia, TX; Sundy Waters and husband Steve of Mansfield, TX; Ashley McCraw and husband Daniel of Pearl, MS. He is survived by siblings: Millie Sanders and husband Charles of Niceville, FL; Jimmy Erwin and wife Cheryl of Dallas, TX; Jane Hufstedler and husband Geary of Hot Springs, AR; Jerry Erwin and wife Elaine of Houston, TX; and Doris Erwin of Groveton, TX. His loss will be felt by his grandchildren Kyle Erwin, Caleb Waters, and Grayson Waters as well as his many loving cousins, nieces, nephews and other friends. He was preceded in death by daughter Scarlet, nephew Kevin Erwin, niece Andy Walker, and parents James and Mary Jane Erwin. He will be interred at Restland Memorial Park in Goodrich, TX with his parents.
