March 10, 2016

Richard Pratt passed into the healing arms of his Lord and Savior on March 10, 2016 after a courageous nine-month battle with cancer. Richard was born on February 18, 1945 in Orange, Texas. He later moved to Hot Springs, Arkansas and attended Cutter Morning Star School. Richard met his future wife, Faye Dene Corder, at a high school basketball game. They were married on July 10, 1964. Richard is survived by his wife of 51 years, Faye Pratt of Hot Springs, AR; three children Dwayne Pratt (Tracey), Greg Pratt (Tracy) and Nakia Crims (Duane); his seven grandchildren−of whom he was a proud and loving grandfather−Logan Pratt, Chloe Pratt, Olivia Pratt, Clay Pratt, Cayley Pratt, Dillon Crims and Dawson Crims as well as his eight brothers and sisters and many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mamie Pratt, and siblings Leroy Pratt, Sue Qualls and Sarah Loden. President of Pratt Hunting Club, Richard was an avid outdoorsman and passed a love of nature on to his children and grandchildren. Visitation will be Saturday March 12th from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Hot Springs Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held Sunday March 13th at 2:00 PM at Walnut Valley Baptist Church.
