Pauline “Willie” Hammond, 87, of Royal fell into a peaceful sleep in the loving arms of her family on Saturday, June 18, 2016. She was born in Royal, Arkansas on November 28, 1928 to the late Jim and Willie Henry. She was a member of the Hammond Missionary Baptist Church and was retired from Lake Catherine Footwear in the stitching department for over 30 years. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Ras Hammond, one son, Ricky Hammond, daughter, Kathy Irwin, grandsons, Curtis Irwin and Scott Overton, three sons-in-law and one sister-in-law. Survivors include her daughter, Jan Jensen of Royal, sister, Virginia (Clifford) Jordan of Hot Springs, brother, James (Gladys) Henry of hot Springs, grandchildren, Tracy (Lonnie) Baker of Royal, Melissa (Shannon) Heath of Bonnerdale, Scotty (Stephanie) Driskill of Royal, Samantha Irwin and Joshua Hammock of Royal, nine great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2:00 P.M. in the Hot Springs Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Billy Blackman and Joe Sexton officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 1:00 P.M. until service time. Pallbearers are Lonnie Baker, James Baker, Michael Baker, Shannon Heath, Scott Driskill, Joshua Nammock, Samantha Irwin and Julia Overton. Honorary pallbearers are the loving Staff at Dierkson Hospice, Steve, Toni and Amy and staff at Canyon Springs Health and Rehabilitation. The family thanks you all for your love and compassion. Also, everyone who visited with her and shared her memories, especially Julia Overton.
