Pat Haering went to be with her Lord on Thursday, September 22, 2016. She was born on January 8, 1937 in Murfreesboro, Arkansas to the late Haskell & Flora Thomas. She married June 14, 1959 to the Love of her life George Haering. Pat was a member of Park Place Baptist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher and choir member and Chairman of Golden Treasure & decorating committee. She was former owner of Hot Springs Florist; Past President Arkansas Florist Association,; Past President of Whitfield Garden Club. She was involved in numerous positions with the Arkansas Federal Garden Club including; State President from 2001 to 2003, flower show chairman 7 times, master flower show judge, state awards chairman, protocol chairman, personnel chairman, state parliament chairman, state flower show schools chairman for 10 years, served as Arkansas Judges Council President, 3rd Vice President and treasurer, ran multiple top flower show awards and was a mentor to many; with the South Central Region she was alternate regional director, served as recording secretary, historian and treasurer; with the National Garden Club she served on the membership committee and protocol chairman. Pat was honored in 2014 as volunteer of the year at the Governor’s Mansion by the Division of Volunteerism and KARK; she was nominated top 12 KARK 36th Community Service Award. She decorated for Christmas at the Arkansas Governor’s Mansion for 12 years under 3 Governor’s Bill Clinton, Mike Huckabee and Mike Beebe, she also decorated the White House for President Bill Clinton. Pat was predeceased by her parents; one brother, Jimmy Thomas and one sister, Bobbie Bates. Survivors include her husband, George Haering; one sister & brother-in-law, Billie & John Hood; one brother & sister-in-law, Larry & Karen Thomas; nieces, Susan & Mark Rima, Lisa & Kevin Wilson of Mount Ida, Sherry & Donny Ellison of Mount Ida and Roxanne & Michael Aleshire of Mena; nephews, John T. Hood, Tommy Thomas and Kelly Tadlock, Brandon Thomas; great nieces, nephews, family and a host of friends. Pallbearers are her great nieces and nephews, Jennifer Warden, Josh Ellison, Eric Wilson, Chad Wilson, Matthew Rima, Andrew Rima, Phillip Nahas, Tommy Thomas, Kelly Tadlock, Brandon Thomas, Gregory Aleshire, Katelyn Strother, Blade Aleshire, Austin Hood and Spencer Hood. Visitation will be 1:00 PM Sunday September 25th at Park Place Baptist Church with services to follow at 2:00 PM with Pastor Coy Sample officiating. Burial will follow at Crestview Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Park Place Baptist Church. To know her was to Love her.
