Ova Foster Barkman

February 23, 1951 - April 20, 2018

Ova Maxine Foster Barkman, age 67 of Hot Springs, Arkansas, passed away on April 20, 2018. She was born on February 23, 1951, in Oden, Arkansas, the daughter of Harvey Isaac Foster and Ova Ethel Vandiver. She was preceded in death by her son, Terry Rudolph Tigue; her parents; five brothers; Jesse D. Foster, Harvey William Bill Foster, Ernest Pete Foster, and Clarence Albert Glenn Sr., and three sisters; Irene Tabor, Bonnie Ilene Counts, Iva Darlene Tigue. She was a Christian by faith. She was a mother, grandmother, and caregiver to many. She was an artist, and enjoyed sewing and making quilts and gardening. She also took pride in painting automobiles. Her greatest joys were her children and grandchildren. She loved to give to the needy and help those that didn’t have much, even though at times she didn’t have much to give but what she did made a difference in those she helped. She will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved her. She was survived by two sons; Dale Eugene Tigue of Hot Springs and Jerry Wayne Barkman of Amity; three daughters; Sandra Jeanette Ball of Alpine, Donna Renee Mitchell of Hot Springs, and Sheila Diane Provence of Amity. She had sixteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and several extended family members and host of wonderful friends. Her wishes were to help others with medical research by her donation to Genesis.
