Norma L. Bowers

Norma L. Bowers, 84, went to be with the Lord on Monday morning, November 28, 2016 under the care of Arkansas hospice. She was born November 29, 1931 in Hot Springs to the late Edward & Elizabeth Thompson Page. She was a retired bookkeeper with Garland County Sheriff’s department; member of Central Baptist Church which she had attended since she was 12 years old and was church treasurer for 37 years. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Jimmie Bowers and sister, June Janise. Survivors include her two daughters; Mel and Terri; granddaughter, Paige; niece and nephews; Glenda Shoptaw, Ray Trantham, Mark Trantham; special care giver, Rebecca and other nieces and nephews. Memorial service will be held on Friday, December 2nd at 2:00 P.M. at Hot Springs Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Coy Sample & Brother Tommy Weems officiating. Pallbearers are Jim Geurin, David Verble, David Nash, Ray Shoptaw and Gil Wooten. Honorary Pallbearers are Dr. Martin Koehn, Dr. John Featherston, Arkansas Hospice & Gentiva Home Health. She holds a special place in many hearts, will truly be missed. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Central Baptist Church or Arkansas Hospice.
