Neva Renee McKay

August 30, 1959 - June 18, 2022

Neva Renee McKay, 62, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, gained her heavenly wings on Saturday, June 18, 2022 with her family by her side. She was born in Russellville, Arkansas on August 30, 1959. Neva was a proud member of the 1978 graduating class of Camden High School. She devoted her life’s work to her beloved fur babies, spreading the love of the Lord, and helping others. She was proceeded in death by her loving parents, Andy and Barbara McKay of Camden, maternal grandparents, Joe and Dorothy Heppberger of Colorado, sister, Lori Lynch of New Mexico, uncle, Joe Heppberger of Texas, aunts: Carol Heppberger of Oklahoma, Lillie Heppberger of Oklahoma, and Ruby Lassiter of Arkansas. Cousin, Brenda Phillips of Oklahoma, infant niece, Maclaine Elise Loomis of Camden, niece, Michelle Oberding of New Mexico, and her beloved fur babies, especially BJ, Poncho, Baby, and Buster. She is survived by her sister, Karen Loomis (Greg) of Pine Bluff; brother, Mike McKay (Renee) of Oklahoma; sisters: Linda McKay Harrison andChristy Lillywhite of New Mexico; cousins:Teresa Lamb and Margaret Poindexter of Oklahoma, and Larry Lassister of Russellville; nieces: Sarah Beth Cude (Dillon) and great niece and nephews Stephen, Cayleb, Lizzi, & Jaxson of White Hall; Maegan Loomis of Pine Bluff; Katelynn Loomis (John) of Monticello and Jessica Loomis – Hudman and great-nephew Dakota of Camden; Jennifer Wiehie (James) and great-nephew Noah, with an additional blessing coming soon, of Oklahoma; nephew, Michael McKay (Janell) and great-neices: Michaela, Eden, Ember, Kinsley and Allie of San Diego. Sister in Love, Kay Crumpler of Camden. Special friends, Louella & Charlie Berry of Camden. Throughout her life, Neva had many challenges and she met them all head on. She worked various jobs over the years from dishwasher to assembly line worker. She worked hard at everything she was involved in. Through it all she actively spread the word of Jesus’ love to all the people around her. Though Neva will be missed, we know where she is now. Her body and mind are healed and she is actively talking Jesus’ ears off. She is also reunited with our mother and grandmother. The family is very grateful for the love and care Neva received from the staff of The Blossoms in Hot Springs for the past 8 years. A big thank you also goes to the staff of Dierksen Hospice for the additional wonderful care this past year. With the changes in visitation due to Covid 19 and Neva’s decline in ability to communicate at the end, the family is very grateful for the professional and compassionate care she received. Nevada was blessed to be able to be a tissue donor. She would have been so happy because she was a recipient of a cornea in the past. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be at a later date.
