Morris Dan Cash, 77, of Hot Springs passed away Friday March 11, 2016. He was born May 29, 1938 to the late Ona Herring Cash & Doyle Cash in Hot Springs. Morris was a retired Architectural Designer; a member 1st Christian Church; Arkansas Air National Guard; Lions Club of Hot Springs; Hot Springs Bowling Association and Secretary of the retired Air Force Association. He was predeceased by his parents; one brother, Richard D. Cash and one sister, Margaret A. Maddox. Mr. Cash was instrumental in the creation of the Garland County Veterans Memorial. He was the draftsman of the blueprint for the memorial which is in place at the Transportation Depot. This was a project of Love for him and the area now is known as Military Park. He and several other distinguished citizens of Hot Springs, including Senator Terry Smith, Tom Wilkins and Dick Antoine joined forces to raise most of the funds needed for the Veterans Memorial and the Fallen Hero Memorial to be constructed. The veterans of Garland County owe a heartfelt thank you to Mr. Cash for his tireless work and dedication to this memorial. Survivors include one daughter, Tracy Lee (Buddy) Brodrick; grandchildren, Amie Z. Vache, Dr. Zach (Jessica) Brodrick and Chase Brodrick; one niece, Carla Burch Brown; nephew, Scott (Lisa) Burch; grandnieces, Abigael Burch and Kiley Burch. Visitation will be 10:00 AM Wednesday March 16th with services to follow at 11:00 AM at 1st Christian Church with Reverend Don Naftz officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens with Military Honors by VFW Post 2278. Pallbearers are Jack Hunt, Tony Nardi, Joe Gunn and Jeff Stephens. Honorary pallbearers are the Lions Club, Veterans Memorial Committee, Dr. Tim English and staff & Dr. Neeraj Bharany and staff.
