Mary Sue McIntire, 76, of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, February 23, 2017. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 4th, at 10:00 am, at Christ of the Hills United Methodist Church in Hot Springs Village, Arkansas. Sue was born January 11, 1941, in Waxahachie, TX, to the late Edward and Lorene Greenhill. She was an active member of Ferris Avenue Baptist Church. She graduated from Waxahachie High School in 1959 and stayed close to her classmates, enjoying attending many class reunions through the years. She married the love of her life, Mel, on October 12, 1963, in Waxahachie, TX. They had one son, Mark Hunter McIntire. They lived in Dallas and then many years in Grand Prairie, TX, before relocating to Hot Springs Village in 1990. Sue enjoyed a long career in the insurance industry in the DFW area as well as Hot Springs Village. She was an avid reader, loved to travel, and she also loved to shop! She was a member of the Daughters of the Revolution, the Red Hat Society in Hot Springs Village, and attended Christ of the Hills United Methodist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Melvin McIntire, Jr., and brother, Joe Bell Greenhill. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law Mark and Debbie McIntire, and four grandchildren Mitch, Meagan, Dan, and Carson McIntire, all of Colleyville, Texas. Honorary Pallbearers include the three grandsons, Bo Butler, Ralph Dover, and Tom McCamy.
