November 4, 1930 - January 30, 2021
Frances Louella “Frankie” Sanders, 90, of Hot Springs entered her eternal life with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, January 30, 2021. She made the peaceful transition to Heaven surrounded by her precious family. Frankie was born in Tecumseh, Oklahoma, the daughter of the late Rev. Jonathan H. and Mildred Jarrell. Frankie lived with her parents in Centralia, Illinois until she moved to Hot Springs, Arkansas as a young adult and began attending the First Pentecostal Church. Sanders was predeceased by her husband, Don F. “Bucky” Sanders, Sr; one son, Rev. Don F. Sanders, Jr.; brother, Robert Jarrell, “Bob”; and one sister, Katherine “Kay” Jarrell. Survivors include Frankie’s five grandchildren, Courtneay and Shawn Irish of Fayetteville, Arkansas; Brittany and Devin Duffield of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Adam and Ruthie Sanders of Claremore, Oklahoma; Chase and Stephani Sanders; Channing and Daniel Pope; all of Tulsa, Oklahoma; one daughter in law, Karen Sanders of Tulsa, Oklahoma; one brother, Charles Jarrell, one brother in law, Herschel and Wanda Sanders of Hideaway, Texas; sister in laws, Linda and Judy Sanders, and many nieces and nephews who she loved dearly. Sanders was affectionately known to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as “Nana.” She is survived by ten great-grandchildren, Tristan, Braedon and Hudson Duffield; Tucker and Piper Sanders; Tovah, Ziva and Ardon Sanders; and Lucy and Emma Pope. In recent years, Frankie especially enjoyed face time with the great-grandchildren on her phone, which allowed her to be a part of their daily activities. She loved Jesus, and always reminded her family how very important it was for them to keep a daily and personal relationship with Him. Everyone who knew her knew her passion for her family, and her commitment of love to them. Her family was her joy, and she reminded them daily of the love she had for each of them. Frankie was a diligent worker throughout her life. Her many friends and acquaintances remember her many years of service as a bank teller and money room supervisor at Oaklawn RaceTrack. Frankie worked with her husband in the security business and together they founded and operated Sanders Security, Inc. in Hot Springs for 50 years. She was a licensed security guard and together they founded and operated The Casket Store in Hot Springs.
