Elizabeth L. Rogers

December 6, 1925 - August 27, 2020

The family of Elizabeth Louise “Betty Lou” McCann Rogers celebrate her life and honor her passing on 08/27/2020. Born at home on December 6, 1925, in DeGraff, Minnesota to Vincent and Loretta Sheridan-McCann. Betty Lou was a child of the Great Depression and a young woman of WW II. Known for her sense of humor, compassion for others, and loyalty to her family and friends. She never met a stranger and always stood up for the underdog. She lived by the following mottos: “ Tell the truth, look people in the eye, shake their hand, and remember that you’re no better or no worse than the other guy and if your motives are pure and you treat others as you want to be treated all will work out in the end.” She is predeceased by her husband William “Bill” Rogers, son William “Billy” Rogers, granddaughter Jennifer Ann Rogers, sisters Nancy O’Donnell, Mary Ellen Berg and brothers Ray and Jerry McCann. Betty Lou will be missed by her family and all who knew her. She is survived by her son Tom Rogers and wife Karen of Eufaula OK., daughter Cindy S. Rogers and partner Dave Reagan of Hot Springs, grandchildren: Laurel Stretch of Council Hill, OK. Jessica and Eric Hanson of Magnolia, TX, Tommy and Jackie Rogers of Muskogee, OK, Angie and Casey Dwyer of Little Rock, Tina and Joseph Wills of Hot Springs, greatgrandchildren Elizabeth Stretch, Olivia Hanson, Carly Hanson, great-grandson son Irwin “Win” Dwyer, and numerous cherished nieces and nephews around the country. A special thank you to Dirksen Hospice and Eden, John and Jaden Endrulat from Quality Senior Care for their excellent care and for being so kind to our mom. There will be a private family service at Lake Eufaula, OK.
