Corene Smith

April 26, 1921 - April 25, 2016

Corene Louise (Mah) Smith left for her heavenly home Monday April 25, 2016 at her home. She was born April 26, 1921 to the union of the late Anthony McKinney Sr. and Cornelius McKinney. She attended Nevada County School in Roston, Arkansas. She moved to Hot Springs as a young adult where she accepted Christ and attended Union Baptist and later joined Hot Springs Baptist Temple. She was preceded in death by brothers, Olan, Owen, Earl, Orbrady and Anthony McKinney Jr. and children, Elijah Smith Jr., Dennis Smith, Marenda Smith, Patricia Smith and Frances Williams. She leaves to share her memories with her children, Doris Rigsby, Gerald (Nancy) Smith, Beverly Smith, Dexter (Lynn) Smith, Gloria Jackson and Janice (Mike) Washington; one sister, Gladys Gully; one brother, James McKinney; twenty three grandchildren; twenty four great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. Services will be 11:30 at Union Missionary Baptist Church on Friday April 29th with visitation held prior to the service. Burial will follow after at Crestview Memorial Park. The family will be at 414 Audubon Street.
