Cleophus “Big Bird” Byrd, 66, of Hot Springs passed away July, 12 2018. He was born December 26, 1951 in Hot Springs to the late Hallie Byrd. Cleophus was a member of Union Missionary Baptist Church and served in the Army Reserves. He is preceded in death by his mother, Hallie Byrd, his brother; Ricky Byrd and his sisters, Jessie Mae Mills, Florene Byrd and Henrietta Byrd. Survivors include the mother of his children, Sharon Dobbins, daughter; Tanja Dobbins of Hot Springs, sons; Jermaine Dobbins, Cory Dobbins and Muntrelle Dobbins, all of Hot Springs, sisters; Lena Byrd, Joanna Byrd both of Hot Springs, and Mary Reed of Chicago, IL, grandchildren; Kiesha Brownlee, Michael Clayton Jr., Trent Clayton, Muntrelle Dobbins Jr., Keelan Jermaine Dobbins, and Braleen Dobbins, great grandchildren; Carmen Cummings and Kaisean Clayton, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday July 18, 2018 at Hot Springs Funeral Home.
