Charles Odell Burnett, 87, of Royal, AR passed away on Friday, November 29, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on July 24, 1932 to the late Fred and Cressie Lindsey Burnett in Lonsdale, Arkansas. He was retired from Weyerhauser as an operator for forty years and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Mt. Pine. He was predeceased by his parents, his wife, Mary Louise Burnett, two daughters, Sharon Parsons and Kay Bair, two granddaughters, Christy Huff and Kelly Spradling, one grandson, Jimmy Crawford, one sister, Vernie Willis and two brothers, LeRoy Burnett and R.C. Burnett. Survivors include two sons, Johnny (Sandie) Burnett of Royal and Charles (Christi) Parsons of Malvern, two daughters, Cindy (Roy) Fields of Mt. Pine and Penny Kuhn of Hot Springs, one sister, Judy Hollyfield of Malvern, sixteen grandchildren, thirty eight great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Hot Springs Funeral Home. Graveside services will be Saturday at 1:00 P.M. at Antioch Cemetery with Pastor Richie Willis officiating. Pallbearers will be Sheridan Burnett, Layne Parsons, Dylan Parsons, Bradley Davis, Austin Andry, and Clifford Bair. The family wishes to express their gratitude to Arkansas Hospice Home Care for their loving care of Charles for the past two years. Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery.
