Benito Ugartechea, 52 Fountain Lake, Arkansas died at 9:00 p.m. Monday, January 27, 2020 from a heart attack. Benito was born July 31, 1967 in Portland, Oregon. He was raised in Fountain Lake, Arkansas. He is survived by his ex-wife of 21 years, Lynn (Turner) Ugartechea; his daughter, Jessica (Ugartechea) Bates and her husband, Daniel Bates; his son, Benito II Ugartechea; his son, Jason Ugartechea; his daughter, Kimberly Ugartechea; his godson, Trusten Perkins; his mother, Armandina (Sanmiguel) Ugartechea; five grandchildren, Jaylon Johnson, Kalan Johnson, Claire Bates, Marshall Bates, and Finn Ugartechea. His sister, Gladys; his brother Humberto; his brother, Andres; his brother, Sabas Jr.; his brother Jaime; his sister, Silvia; his brother Salvador; his sister, Rosario; his sister, Elizabeth; his sister Rocio; his sister, Juany. Benito's Nieces and nephews: Edgar; Ervey; Eluid; Maria; Alma; Rogelio; Jorge; Laura; Andres; Rosario; Sabas; Ervey; Lucero; Belen; Monica; Azeneth; Yvette; Claudia; Cindy; Sabas III; Sandra; Linda; Jaime Jr.; Maria; Veronica; Fernando; Ismael; Juan; Denise; Aide; Ivonne; Omar; Raven; Jody; Rafael; Vanessa; Susana; Leslie; Erika; Jenyfer; Katy; Natasha; Sam; Talia; Brian; Ashley; Jahaira; Emily; Carlos; Trusten; Stephen; Nicole. He was preceded in death by his father, Sabas (Rodrigues) Ugartechea; his sister, Antonia. In his early years when he was six years old he worked alongside his family for Weyerhaeuser. He attended Fountain Lake school class of 1986. He then owned his own business of BU Forestry for thirty-seven years and Sub-contracted with the US Forest Service. He had a great passion for his religion, work, and animals. Benito enjoyed the outdoors and working with his hands. He enjoyed camping, hiking, fishing, hunting, and loved the natural creation of the woods, mountains, creeks, and lakes. He also enjoyed sharing stories and telling jokes to family and friends. Benito loved his family so much. He came from a large hardworking family. He loved and enjoyed his children and grandchildren. He was a strong noble man. Memorial service will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday, February 23, 2020 at Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church with Brother Jimmy Turner officiating. Burial will follow at the Antioch Cemetery.
