Shirley Ann Rogers

Shirley Ann Rogers, born January 16th 1939 in Montgomery County, AR, found peace with her Lord and Savior on April 1st 2025 at the age of 86, after a long and valiant battle with cancer at Belvedere Health and Rehab in Hot Springs, Arkansas. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and sister who cherished everyone around her unconditionally. Shirley was always staying busy, whether that meant creating beautiful spaces in people's homes as an interior designer, taking on projects with the PTA, or keeping things organized as her husband’s secretary. That busy spirit extended even further into a love of travel, which she enjoyed greatly, from short jaunts to Branson, to far flung voyages as far as Australia. Her garden was always a beautiful oasis at her own home, where she spent countless hours nurturing her prized irises and other blooms. Shirley was a beautiful, creative soul whose hands not only crafted beautiful treatments, bedding and draperies for the homes of countless individuals, but she also fabricated clothing and costumes for her loved ones. Her spirit of creativity also extended into the kitchen, where she was a skilled cook and baker, bringing scrumptious dishes like her homemade cornbread and corn chowder or German Chocolate Cake to the table to delight anyone who had the chance to sit there. As a long-term member of First Baptist Church of Hot Springs, Shirley was a pillar of faith. Her belief in Christ carried her through many years of joy and loss. It was the strong foundation on which she built her home and family. Many of her fellow church members know her as a delight to be around and a shining example of fellowship. Shirley will be deeply missed by her surviving children, Pamela Holmes (Richard), Brent Rogers, Kevin Rogers (Agnes), and Amber Rogers; her siblings, Gayle Williamson, Jonnie Irvin, Sam Jones (Carolyn), Charlie Jones, Nancy Cogburn (Glenn), Bill Jones (Evelyn), Jack Jones, Colleen Mitchell (Ricky), Paula Noga (Jim), Janice Richey, and Ken Jones; her grandchildren, Chad Echols (Sarah), Misty Rinehart (Craig), Jennifer Kincannon (Michael), Derek Holmes, Zachery Rogers (Jordan), Olivia Rogers, Declan Rogers, Aiden Gordon, Konrad Rogers, and Cormac Rogers; and her great-grandchildren, Cole and Caleb Echols, Aiden and Keegan Rinehart, Rylan, Alayna, and Oliver Kincannon, Lincoln Holmes, Sara and Bea Rogers, and Howard Oliver. Shirley was reunited in heaven with her husband, Charles William Rogers; her children, Debbie Criddle, Karen Mertes, and Charles Richard Rogers; her parents, Claude and Alta Jones; and her siblings, Barbara Fryar, Nell Bullock, Hal Jones, and Eddie Jones. To know Shirley was to know the pure beauty of being loved unconditionally. Her light shone brightly, uplifting everyone she encountered. We, her loved ones, recognize the immense blessing of having shared in her remarkable life.
