Sally Ann Schultz

Sally Ann Schultz entered fully into the presence of the Lord on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at the age of 83 at her home in Bartlett, Tennessee. She will be greatly missed as a talented crafter, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Sally is survived by her husband Arthur, her brother Tim Tryon and his wife Erma, her son Steve and his wife Carrie, her daughter Judy and her husband Mike, four granddaughters, Danielle, Allison, Brittany and Moriah and nine great-grandchildren. Sally was born to Roy and Helen Tryon in Anne Arundel County, Maryland on August 26, 1939 and grew up in Severna Park, Maryland. She met Arthur, a young U.S. Army officer, in a restaurant in Ocean City, Maryland on July 13, 1957. He was immediately attracted to her bright and cheerful smile and remarked to his dinner companion, “That girl has the prettiest smile I have ever seen. I am going over to meet her!” Later that evening, after meeting her and escorting her home, he remarked to his friend, “I am going to marry that girl!” They married on September 28, 1957, following a whirlwind romance lasting only 76 days. He has always said her smile was the thing he loved the most. As the wife of an Army Officer and International Paper Company Superintendent she moved her family to several cities around the southeast. Later in retirement they continued in their travels and relocated to several locations including Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, Foley, Alabama and Bartlett, Tennessee. Sally was an avid dog lover and was rarely without a canine companion serving as “Mom” to a long list of happy pups. Recently Arthur was asked what is the key to a successful marriage and his response is was, “Waking up every morning and thanking God for the privilege of having Sally as my wife.” As a woman of faith, the family is planning to have a celebration of the immortality promised to all by Christ. Family and friends are welcome to attend this celebration, which will be held in the Chapel at Robinwood Retirement Resort in Bartlett, Tennessee on Friday, March 24th with visitation starting at 5 pm and the service commencing at 6 pm. There will be a visitation on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at Hot Springs Funeral Home from 1-2 pm followed by a 3 pm graveside service at CedarVale Cemetery on Minorca Road, Hot Springs Village, AR.
