Philip W. Baber, a loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend too many, passed away on June 5th, 2024 in his hometown of Hot Springs, Arkansas at the age of 66. He was born on December 9th, 1957 to his loving and devoted parents Doug and Barbara Baber. Phil's life was filled with love and passion for his family and the world around him. His devotion to his wife Alison "Kim" Baber for over four decades was an inspiration to all who knew them. Their love story served as a testament to enduring commitment and unwavering support through both joyous moments and challenging times. As a father to Chris and Laura, Phil's guidance shaped their lives in immeasurable ways. His children were not only recipients of his wisdom but also bearers of his kindness and compassion that he shared with everyone he met. Phil had an unyielding love for the outdoor which led him countless adventures exploring nature's beauty. Whether it was hunting or hiking through lush forests or fishing by tranquil lake shores; these experiences brought him immense joy throughout his life. In addition to his love for the outdoors, Philip had an innate talent for woodworking and artistry. He created beautiful pieces that reflected his deep connection to nature and his keen eye for detail. His works will continue to be lasting testaments to his talent. He is survived by his loving wife Alison "Kim" Baber; devoted children Chris Baber and Laura (Paul) Heim; parents, Doug and Barbara Baber; sister & brother-in-law, Janie (Jim) Curl; sisters & brother-in-law's, Sherry (Steve) Leis, Gina (Ed) McOrmond; grandchildren, Scout Baber, Jonathan Philip "Jack" Heim, Benjamin "Ben" Heim; dear friends, Jerry & Rhonda Clenney; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Phil also leaves behind cherished fur babies Charlie and Rosie who provided endless companionship and love. A celebration of Philip W. Baber's remarkable life will be held at Hot Springs Funeral Home at 1:00 pm on Thursday, June 13, 2024 with Pastor Teddy Frye officiating. Honorary pallbearers include members of Arkansas Hospice staff, Genesis cancer center, Dr. Robert Muldoon, Jerry Clenney, Dr. Ron Kaler, Terry McClarty- individuals whose care deeply touched Phil’s heart. The void left by Phil's passing is immeasurable but we take solace in knowing he leaves behind a legacy of compassion and creativity that will endure through those whose lives he touched so deeply.
