Patsy Marie Stewart

Patsy Marie (Knighten) Stewart, born on April 18, 1946, in Allen, Oklahoma passed away peacefully on December 6, 2025, at Lake Hamilton Health and Rehabilitation in Hot Springs National Park, Arkansas. She was 79 years old. Patsy’s life was a testament to strength, love, dedication, and faith. A devoted wife, mother, sister, and teacher, she touched countless lives through her unwavering commitment to family and education. She graduated from Glenwood High School and went on to pursue higher education at Henderson State University, in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. Her academic journey laid the foundation for a lifelong career in teaching – a profession through which she both challenged and inspired generations of students with her knowledge and compassion. Patsy’s family was the heart of her world. She always said her greatest achievement was her children, whom she graciously supported through every triumph and challenge. She is lovingly remembered by them: son Tim Hamilton and his wife Rain of Chester, Virginia; daughter Lori Byers and her husband Jeremy of Mansfield, Missouri; and daughter Kristi Hamilton Rhodes and Michael Rhodes of Hot Springs, Arkansas. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of her cherished grandchildren: Whitney Carter, Holly Hanbury (Graham), Brendan Hamilton (Tessie), Hannah Barnes (Tait), Kaitlyn Simpson (Cody), AnnaBelle Torres (Jose), Kennedy Rice (Shyann), Jesse Rice, Caleb McCaslin, Grace McCaslin, Allison Brown (Jack), Jessica Wilson (TJ), Lance Porter, Jackson Stewart, Chase Stewart, and beautiful great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers Jerry Knighten and Ricky Knighten; sisters-in-law Joyce Knighten, Marcell Knighten, and Trudi Knighten. The deep bonds she shared with her siblings were a source of strength, love, and laughter throughout her life. She was preceded in death by her parents Jessie and Edith Knighten and her brother Homer Knighten, all of Glenwood, Arkansas Patsy’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. Her warmth as a mother and grandmother, her dedication as an educator, and the quiet strength she carried throughout life will not be forgotten. As per her wishes, no public funeral services will be held. A private scattering of ashes will be held at a later date, as the family will hold a private remembrance gathering in her honor. Patsy left us beautiful memories, and her love remains our guide. May her memory forever bring comfort and solace to those who knew and cherished her.
