Jody Johannsen

Jody E. Johannsen, 56, of Royal, Arkansas passed away, Tuesday, October 21, 2025. She was born January 29, 1969 in Hot Springs. Jody was owner of Saddlebags Bar & Grill and was of the Baptist faith. She was predeceased by her mother, Linda Estell and her Granny, Inez Johannsen. Jody is survived by her children, Jake Johannsen, Wendi Johannsen, Miranda (Jamie) Billington; father, Tom (Leslie) Johannsen; brothers, Skip (Shannon) Elders, Robert Johannsen, Barrett (Katie) Johannsen; sisters, Amy Byrd, Jen (Mike) Waid, Samantha (Chisholm) Lindsey; grandchildren, Aubrey, Laken, Jaden, Jax, Noah, Isaac, Ava, Jase, Arya, Emerie, Hayden, Braylen, Brynlee, Octavia, Maxwell, Corbin & Hannah. Cancer is horrible, but there’s peace knowing that she’s no longer suffering. Momma was the most beautiful person inside and out. She was so much more than a Mom she was teacher, counselor, best friend, she taught us how to be strong, confident and about honesty, respect and most of all loyalty. There's a piece of us missing and there always will be. We will always remember your beautiful smile, your contagious laugh, your beautiful long blonde hair, the way you smell, how hard you've always worked, everything you've ever given up/sacrificed, the way you stood up for yourself and others, always putting others first before your needs. Thank you for always being there for us - any day, any time, we could call you about anything. A month or 2 ago, we had an appointment at CARTI and there was a homeless man at the gas station pushing a cart. She was so adamant about me pulling over there, just so she could give him a $20 bill and say "Stay Blessed." While she was struggling so much herself. She still wanted to bless someone. That's the kind of person she was. She helped anybody and everybody! We will always remember how you were so selfless in many situations, with many people, even strangers. We’ll see you on the other side, Mom. WE LOVE YOU A Celebration of Life will be held 1:00 PM. Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at Hot Springs Funeral Home with Pastor Teddy Frye officiating.
