Doyle Beals

Doyle Beals, 68, passed away surrounded by his family on December 6, 2013 in a Little Rock Hospital due to injuries from an all terrain vehicle accident. He was born August 30, 1945 in Hollywood, Arkansas to the late Monroe and Lilly Cobb Beals. Doyle is preceded in death by his three: brothers Richard, Charles and Wayne Beals. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Betty Cockman Beals and children: Violet Beals, Tammy & Darrell Beals, and Donna & Kenny Youngs. He also leaves his loving grandchildren and great grandchildren: Jace, Caleb, A.J., Ema, Mickie, Aaron, Alissa, Tish, Sam, Kenneth, Brian & Dani, Angel, Paul, Nick, Nick-Nick, Cheze, Trinity, Kayden, Skye, and Lexi. He is also survived by his brothers Orvile, Milton & Ronnie (Kay) Beals and sister Thelma Garret. Doyle attended Lake Hamilton School System and has lived in Hot Springs throughout his life. His passions included his love of his family, work, and included fishing, hunting and gardening. His strong faith brought him true peace. His many acts of kindness included feeding shut-ins and families with loved ones in Mercy Hospital’s ICU, and driving the van for the children attending his Church. He was a member of Harvey’s Chapel Baptist Church, Rector Heights Baptist Church and was veteran of the U. S. Army. The service will be conducted by Reverend Buddy Leamons and Reverend Johnny Braton at Harvey’s Chapel Baptist Church, Wednesday, December 11 at 2:00PM with burial at Crestview Cemetery with military honors by the VFW Post 2278 Honor Guard. Pallbearers include: Mickie Ponder, Michael Barrett, Tommy Weeks, Gary Thower, Steve Harvey, Eddie Robinson, Carlos Cockman and John Cockman. Honorary Pallbearers include: Employees of the Sentinel Record, members of Harvey’s Chapel and Rector Heights Baptist Churches, Brother Mike Smith, Electronic Associates of Wal-Mart Store #52, Carl & Barbara Rowe, P.J.’s Salon, Dr. Sorrels & Dr. Bodemann. Donations in his memory may be made to Harvey’s Chapel Food Bank, 2515 Mountain Pine Road, Hot Springs, AR Visitation will be at Hot Springs Funeral Home Tuesday, December 10 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
