David Almond

David DeWayne Almond 51 years old of Lonsdale passed away July 5, 2023. To know him was to love him! David had a unique ability to both infuriate and endear those around him. His strong-willed nature often clashed with the expectations of normal society, earning him the nickname Super Dave. Despite his challenges, there was no denying his impact of those closest to him. His loyalty meant that when he had a dollar, you had a dollar. He loved camping, fishing and rolling asphalt. His absence will undoubtedly leave a void in the lives of those he leaves behind He was born November 15,1971 in Sheridan Wyoming. He lived in Alaska, Arkansas, Nevada, Oklahoma, Texas and Washington. Preceded in death by his paternal family are his grandparents, Wallace & Rosie Almond, grandmother Margaret Petty Clark, sister April Almond and cousin Whitney Almond LaGrone. Preceded in death by his maternal family are his grandparents, Aunt Sharon Rimpy Ripley, stepfather David Robertson, Uncle & Aunt James & Brenda Rogers along with their kids Jimmy & Casey Rogers and Uncle & Aunt Floyd & Wanda Faye Willingham. He is survived by his father Dan Almond (Cari Foster) of West Richland, Washington and mother LaDonna Rimpy Robertson of Lonsdale. Three brothers, Toby Almond (Julie) of Hot Springs, Kenny Knight of Lonsdale and Brandon Almond of Manassas, Virginia. Two sisters, Eva Almond Bailey of Benton & Jessica Moore of Malvern. David didn’t have any children of his own but was a beloved uncle to Candace, William, Micah, Dakota & Cash Almond, Ladonna, Sarah & Riley Knight and Billy Simmons all of Hot Springs. Also left behind to cherish his memories are his Uncle Bill Almond, Aunt Carolyn Dawson, cousins Marc Dawson & Blake Almond. Along with his extended family & friends in Washington State, especially the Foster family. Along with many other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews & cousins. In this time of grief, let us remember David, both the moments of frustration and the moments of love. Let us honor his memory by striving to understand the human spirit and embracing the differences that make us unique. May David DeWayne Almond rest in peace, knowing that he was loved and that his presence will be missed.
