Joan Marie Theresa Meggers Favorite was welcomed into the kingdom of Heaven on Saturday, February 18th, 2012, she was 82. Joan was born on November 3, 1929 in Hot Springs AR, to the late Flora and Irvin Meggers.  She follows her brother Tom Meggers in death, while survived by brother George Meggers and her sister Yvonne Jones, both of Hot Springs.  April 28, 1962 she married her Prince, the late Dustin G. Favorite and together they had five children, all present at her bedside at the time of her death.  She is survived her by her miracle, daughter, Julie Favorite of Little Rock, her surprise, daughter Catherine Rose of Little Rock, her loving son, Edward Favorite of Hot Springs and her precious twins, Jan Favorite of Hot Springs and John Favorite of Hot Springs. Joan was full of faith and she loved her life and all the people in it especially her close family.  She was always happy because she had her Jesus in her heart; there was no room for anything but love. Joan will be missed by daughters-in-law, Marti Favorite and Debbie Favorite; son-in-law, PJ Rose; as well as Deb Reynolds, Christie Orozco; grandchildren, Jacob, Kaitlin and Nicholas Rose; Dustin, Cassidy, Ben, Josh, Emma and Jack Favorite; Davey and Chris Fikes. Many nieces and nephews will miss Aunt Jo, as well as the many others that called her their aunt. Special thanks to the staff at The Caring Place in Hot Springs; and the staff at Chenal Adult Day Center in Little Rock. Rosary will be 7:00 PM Wednesday at Hot Springs Funeral Home with a visitation to follow until 9:00.  Services will be 11:00 AM Thursday at St. John’s Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that donations be made to Alzheimer's Arkansas.

#9 pam 2012-02-22 14:35 well, where does one start with such a wonderful lady and family! I have such wonderful memories of Joan and Dusty. They both welcomed me and my family in to their lives. There was never a time when we or I felt unwelcomed. Many stories of family times and holiday times.Joan always had her finger pointed in a picture. Telling us not to take it. Her saying was" Well, I'll swan !!! I have many memorbillia of both of them, and will cherish them forever. Thank you for your love. Peace, Light and love to all of family.
