Archived Obituaries

Barbara Helen Burtness came into this life on September 24, 1948 and left it on February 11, 2012. She is survived by her siblings, Patsy and John Burtness both of Hot Springs, an uncle Don, two aunts, Liz and Helen, a niece Tracy and cousin Carin. Barbara was an amazing lady with many talents. She volunteered at Angel Food Ministry and was a huge presence at Prince of Peace Church. Her employment ran from Burger Chef to Edward Jones. Barbara’s positive attitude and huge smile in the face of her many health issues are to be admired. She never gave in or up! We could all take a lesson from her. She was preceded in death by her parents; Pete & Jane and sister, Janet.  Memorial Services will be 11:00 AM Saturday at First Lutheran Church.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Westminster Presbyterian Food Ministry 3819 Central Hot Springs, Arkansas 71913

#12 Johnnie Williams Ward 2012-02-18 09:49 Barb couldn't be in a better place. I sure will miss her. We were joined together at the hip for a while in high school. We used to ride around at night in Oma's green car. Such fun times to remember. Your mother instilled in all of you the right thing to do. She would be proud of all of you. Quote
